A boat-up restaurant on Tampa's Rattlesnake Point has officially opened. Salt Shack on the Bay, which broke ground in October 2018, celebrated its grand opening on July 1, 2019. The restaurant is currently in soft opening mode, open from 4 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant is also accessible via car, just off of Gandy Boulevard at 5415 W. Tyson Blvd. It's entirely open-air, serving Gulf-to-table seafood and tropical cocktails.
